WE SOLVE YOUR DOUBTS

on the results of the Mendel Brain Kit

Mendel Brain DNA Kit

Once you have sent your saliva, it arrives at Eurofins Denmark, the laboratory we have selected for providing the highest quality standard in the European Union and strictly complying with ISO 9001:2015.

Once they have extracted the DNA from the cells in your saliva, amplified the DNA and sequenced it, they generate a file with 750,000 genetic markers.

At this point we compare the genetic markers with the Mendel’s Brain database and identify those points associated with specific characteristics related to personality to define whether you have a greater or lesser predisposition for that trait.

The report we share with you at the end of the genetic analysis process is done by identifying those genetic variations significantly associated with a trait or characteristic, for example, introversion or extroversion, and comparing it with the frequency of the population.

In this way we can distinguish whether you have a greater or lesser natural predisposition for each personality trait.

We are as concerned about this as you are.

For this reason we have incorporated within our team a psychological committee headed by Lola Morón, psychiatrist expert in behavioral psychology, with the aim of offering you the most accurate explanations of each trait and correct guidelines and indications for this analysis to be useful to you.

Following this rule, we only include in our analysis those traits and genetic variations with a significant statistical significance, that is to say, with a clear association between trait-variation, and we discard any genetic variation of doubtful validity.

We must remember that this report is made taking as a reference the genetic basis and that there are other factors such as environment or lifestyle that shape our personality.

Human genetics, and specifically genetics as applied to our psychology, is a continuously evolving field and new associations will be discovered over time, leading to greater precision of analysis.

Although we make sure that each trait analyzed is solidly characterized, we are well aware that the outcome of the analysis may vary. In the event that our new versions of the test identify a different result we will contact you to review the results.

The Mendel’s Brain team has conducted R&D work to identify 20 genetic traits related to your personality, and we periodically review the scientific literature in search of genetic markers that answer the question: What makes us unique?

This is just the beginning. The field of genetics applied to human psychology is experiencing exponential growth and every day new genetic variations associated with traits that define us as people are discovered.

Our commitment to the progress of psychogenomics and the support of your emotional well-being leads us to keep you updated on the new traits discovered.

We leave you a link to those traits that you would like us to analyze so that you can give us your opinion: https://mendelbrain.com/en/traits-of-interest/
